Climate in Florida

Most of the peninsula is located in subtropical climate: only the extremity méridonale (including the Florida Keys) is found in tropical climates. These are the precipitation and not the temperatures that determine seasons in Florida. Winters and autumns are relatively warm and watered. The wet season arrives in spring with its flood of thunderstorms. The Gulf Stream has an impact on the climate of Florida. Cold waves are quite rare.

Everglades

The Everglades is the largest sub-tropical region of the United States. It is characterized by the extraordinary variety of flora and fauna that inhabit it and its fragile ecosystem. More than five hundred thousand acres of meadows and marshes are facing some islands planted with exotic species, 400 species of nesting birds.

Dry Tortugas

A 112 km south of Key West lies a cluster of seven living coral reefs called "Dry Tortugas". National Park is inhabited by a unique marine life and is known for its legends of the galleons sunken chests of gold around.

Biscayne
